Bordeaux Projects
As I announced in a previous post, I will be settling down in Bordeaux with my brother from September onwards. Without giving up on my nomadic lifestyle, I want to use this opportunity to involve myself in local offline projects.
I’m thinking about a lot of things related to community writing (Cowriters’ first local writing circle? Writing courses? Youtube channel?), digital nomadism (local community building?), or sustainable web development (productized services targeting the French market?).
But also more personal ideas like growing an indoor garden, buying some Raspberry components to make cool stuff, or finding the best route to bike from Bordeaux to Arcachon. Bordeaux is incredibly nice to walk around, with lots of green spaces and a gentle climate all year round.
I’m looking forward to meeting up with old friends and swinging by my parents’ more often. I definitely missed the ability to organize events with my friends while abroad, so I’ll try to make the best of it.
Last but not least, I’m excited to spend more quality time with my brother, who will be starting his postgraduate studies.
Instead of moving from one city to another like I used to, I’ll organize Ferris-inspired mini-retirements throughout the year to keep on expanding my knowledge of the world. Bordeaux is a small city, but with a well-connected international airport with plenty of low-cost airlines and less than 3 hours from Paris by train.
Once I manage to escape from Budapest, the plan will be set in motion.
