Writing Exercises

I absolutely adore how proteiform writing is. I already talked about writing meditation to overcome writer’s block, now I’m thinking of viewing the writing process as a sport.

Writing covers several atomic skills - ideating, teaching, researching, listening, being prolific, etc. Each skill can be viewed as a body part, and a great writer is an athlete developing them equally at each session.

If writing is to be more easily integrated into daily life, maybe we can get inspiration from martial artists: for example, to “live the kung fu life” is to integrate its principles into daily life to access a deeper level of personal satisfaction.
